Super Trooper!

I call Chelise my Super Trooper, because she really is amazing. She has endured so much pain, sickness and embarrassment these past few days.

Well this is kind of a turn of events! Things could not have been going any better. Chelise and I were going through a normal Wednesday routine when she called me to pick her up as soon as possible cause she wasn't feeling well. Usually she toughs things like this out, but when I realized how much pain she was in, I knew it was something serious. So we decided to go to the hospital.

We headed to the Torrance Memorial Hospital, where we plan on having the delivery of Baby Baird, so this has been sort of a trial run. The nurses have been nice and the facility is great.

Just to reassure everyone the baby is fine and has a good heart beat and I'm sure he's wondering what's going on with his mother.

Chelise on the other hand, has been drugged up to keep her pain down and she's been given an intravenous feeding tube to help nourish her. The pain that is causing all this grief has also caused her to throw up, a lot, which in turn has dehydrated her. Our OBGYN has not been able to determine the exact cause of the pain. So has requested the help of a risk specialist in OB who reviewed all the test and suggested we get a surgeon's consultation. Well that requires a CAT Scan and so we did that today. I have the preparation picture of that event. I have the only picture available of this famous star, even though sick, she's still willing to show a little personality. She's drinking Barium.

After the CAD Scan is done they "the specialists" will review them and make the next decision to see if they need to operate, or what. We will find out these results in the morning. For now it's another night listening to our baby's heart beat as we drift in to la la land.

Remember to keep us in your prayers.

Thanks & Loves

The Bairds

Chelise! OK, this was posted back in December and it is now February. I am dying to know what happened and if everything is still going well with the pregnancy??? As far as I remember, you are due in March, right? I need to keep up with your blog! I get the jist that you are on bedrest...I did that with Levi for only 4 days, but it was enough to kill me. So, if you need someone to complain to, I am all ears!
